Cordela Hotels supports earth hour activities – 1 our watch for the earth
South Tangerang, 25 March 2023 -Â The Earth Hour 2023 program was successfully held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, across all Cordela Hotel business units. This program, organized by Cordela Hotels in collaboration with WWF (World Wildlife Fund), aimed to enhance public awareness regarding the significance of preserving the Earth and the environment. As part of the program, all lighting within and around Cordela Hotels was temporarily switched off for one hour from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM WIB. Guests staying at the hotel were also encouraged to turn off unnecessary electrical equipment during this hour.
The Earth Hour program has gained significant global recognition since its inception in 2007 by WWF. People worldwide are encouraged to participate in this movement by turning off lights and electrical appliances for one hour on the same designated night each year.
Currently, our planet and environment face numerous challenges, including climate change and deforestation, among others. Through the Earth Hour program, we can reduce electricity consumption and demonstrate our commitment to environmental protection. Cordela Hotels, as a responsible organization, actively participates in this program as part of our corporate social responsibility and commitment to safeguarding the Earth and the environment.
